CATTLEytics was founded by Dr. Shari van de Pol — a computer engineer turned large-animal veterinarian. With a Computer Engineering degree from McMaster University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ontario Veterinary College, she brings a rare combination of technical expertise and hands-on agricultural knowledge.
In 2014, she incorporated CATTLEytics with a clear mission: build software that actually works in the barn, not just the boardroom. Our first major partnership with Feedlot Health Management Services proved the concept — real data, real insights, real results for producers.
By 2020, we turned our attention to the dairy industry and began developing the platform you see today. That same year, the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network recognized our vision with $800,000 in funding to build the next generation of dairy management tools.
Today, we're proud to serve hundreds of farms across North America. But the mission hasn't changed: help farmers farm smarter, with technology that respects their expertise and makes their lives easier.

Our team includes software engineers, data scientists, and agricultural specialists — many of whom grew up on farms themselves. We don't just build software in an office. We test it in the parlour, troubleshoot it in the field, and refine it based on real conversations with real farmers.
Based in Hamilton, Ontario, we serve farms across Canada and beyond. Our software speaks multiple languages because dairy farming is global — and so is our commitment to supporting it.
